Holy Bats! …er, uhm, Sparrowman!
This cute little guy (an actual bat!) was fast asleep on our hallway pinboard at work. I got a friend of mine from downstairs who has delt with removing such sundry critters to put him on a rock ledge outside. How he got there? No one knows.
Also, here’s one the many Eastern Tent Caterpillars (Malacosoma americanum) that was crawling on the rail trail today. This one is an excellent speciman, which means that since it is a pest, that is not necessarily a good thing. Further info on these can be found here. 
I’m still playing with this $20.00 Vivitar ViviCam 55 in what it can or cannot do. Man, I think I’d love to do some nature photography–with a better camera of course!
Awww…aren’t they cute when they’re asleep? They’d be cute when they’re awake, but they freak out when they get stuck in buildings.
